After graduating from Mcgill University in 2012, Jannick started working in an outpatient clinic in Montreal, Canada specializing in TMD (temporomandibular joint dysfunction), chronic pain and postural dysfunctions. Working at this clinic allowed her to expand her clinical knowledge and repertoire of manual therapy techniques in order to begin to specialize in this complex patient population. Among other techniques, Jannick developed unique skills in “Technique Meziere” which is a technique developed in France, very similar to the better known North American version “Global Postural Reeducation” (GPR) which utilizes specific therapist assisted long duration stretching positions and breathing techniques to improve posture. She then carried this new skillset with her when she moved to Philadelphia in 2015 and began working for a large hospital system in this area. Working in one of their outpatient clinics as a lead physical therapist, Jannick was the only therapist within this large network who was treating TMD patients. She provided education to staff and local dentists/doctors/oral surgeons who were able to witness first hand the benefits of this specialized physical therapy on their referred patients. Jannick was able to further expand her holistic skill set by taking continuing education courses in Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation which she utilizes regularly in her treatments. She was also able to solidify her specialization in TMD patients by successfully qualifying to as a diplomate of the Physical Therapy Board of Craniocervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT) and securing her certification of “Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist” (CCTT). Today she is one of only 75 physical therapists holding this certification in the United States. Being a member of this association requires her to remain up to date with continuing education/teaching/doing research on TMD and cervical spine issues and provides her with a resource of other specialized therapists with whom to discuss different approaches to complex cases. 

After 5 years in the South Jersey area, Jannick and her husband decided to relocate to the Burlington, Vermont area for the lifestyle, access to the outdoors and proximity to Jannick’s family in Montreal. Jannick is now the proud owner of this new clinic specialized in TMD and cervical spine dysfunctions and is eager to begin serving, sharing and collaborating with this new community.
